What are the cookies?

APM PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS S.L.P.'s web (hereinafter, the "Web") uses cookies. Cookies are files sent to a browser through a web server in order to register the activities of the user in a specific web site. The first purpose of the cookies is to facilitate the user a faster access to the selected services. Additionally, cookies personalize the services offered by the web, facilitating and offering each user information which is of its interest of which might be of its interest taking into account the use of the services made by the user.

 

The Web uses cookies in order to personalise and facilitate to the maximum the user's navigation. Cookies are associated only to an anonymous user and its computer and do not provide references that enable to deduct personal data from the user. The user will be able to set up its browser so it notifies and re-does the installation of the cookies sent by the Web, without harming the user's possibility to access the contents of said web. However, we hereby put into your attention that, in any case, the quality of the working of the Web might decrease.

What kind of cookies are there?

According to their duration, cookies can be divided in:

Session cookies

Expire when the uses closes the browser.

Persisting cookies

Expire when their purpose is met (for example, in order to keep the user identified in relation with the services) or when they are manually erased.

Taking into account their owner, cookies might be divided in:

Own cookies

Those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from an equipment or domain managed by the editor and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

Third party cookies

Those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from an equipment or domain which is not managed by the editor but by a different entity which treats all data obtained through the cookies.

Taking into account their purpose, Cookies can be divided in:

Performance cookies

This kind of cookies remind its preferences for the tools located in the services, so that the systems does not have to be set up every time a visit takes place. As an example, this kind of cookies include (i) video or sound players' volume adjustments; or (ii) the video transfer speeds which are suitable with the browser.

Geo-location cookies

Cookies used to guess the country the user is located when a service is requested. This kind of cookies are totally anonymous and are only used to help to guide the content to the location.

Registry cookies

They are generated once the user has registered or logged in and are used to identify the user in the services with the following purpose: (i) keep the user identified so that, in the event that a service, the browser or the computer is closed and at any other time the user re-enters the service, it will still be identified, helping its navigation without being necessary to be re-identified. This option can  be erased if the used clicks in “log out”, so that said cookie is erased and the next time the user enters the service it will have to log in on order to be identified; or (ii) check if the user is authorised to get access to certain services as, for example, para participate in a contest.

Analytical cookies

Every time the user visits a service, a tool owned by an external provider generates an analytical cookie in the user's computer. Said cookie, which is only generated in the visit, will be used in further visits by the Web's services to anonymously identify the visitor. Main purposes are: (i) allow the anonymous identification through the cookie of the navigator users  (identifies navigators and devices, not  persons) and, therefore, the approximate count of the number of visitors and their tendence with tespect to time; (ii) anonymously identify the most visited contents and, therefore, more attractive to users; or (iii) know if the user that is logging in is a new joiner of if its visit is repeated.

Unless the user decides to register in one of the services of the Web, the cookie will never be linked to any personal data that might identify said user. Such cookies will only be used for statistical purposes that help the optimization of the user's experience in the site.

 

Behavioural advertising cookies

Allow to increase the information of the advertisements that are shown to any anonymous user in the Web's services. Amongst others, the duration or frequency of the viewing of advertisements, the interaction of the same or the navigation patterns and/or user's behavior  are stored, so that they enable to create a profile which is of advertisement interest. Therefore, they allow to offer the advertisements that are related to the user's interests.

Third party advertising cookies

Apart from the advertisements managed by the Web in its Services, the Web offers to its advertisers the option of provide advertisements through third parties (“AdServers”). Thus, said third parties are able to store Cookies sent from the Web's Services, which come from the Users' browsers, as well as to accede to the data stored in the same.

Are there international transfers?

You can find out about transfers to third countries that, where appropriate, are carried out by the third parties identified in this cookie policy in their corresponding policies (see, where appropriate, the links provided in the "Third-party cookies" section). The different mechanisms of regularization of the international transfer, if any, will be informed by said third parties.

How can cookies be disabled?

Normally, it is possible to unable the browser's cookies or those cookies of a service in particular.

All modern browsers enable to change the cookies' settings. Said settings are normally located in the browser's menu ¨options¨ or ¨preferences¨. Additionally, a used is entitled to set up its browser or its email manager , as well as to install free supplements to avoid that web bugs are downloads when an email is opened.

Can the cookies' policy be amended?

The Web might amend said Cookies' Policy in accordance with the legal requirements or in order to adapt said policy to the instructions made by the Spanish Data Protection Agency ("Agencia Española de Protección de Datos"). Therefore, it is hereby recommended to users to review the relevant policy regularly.

In the event that significant changes relating to cookies' protection have taken place, they will be communicated to the registered users through the web o by email.
